Less Words
Too small to be an entire post. Kind of like a tweet. Sometimes ephemeral thoughts
On loop.
More 4am type sounds.

new pair just dropped🔥
Such a cozy sounding album. 4am, little coffee, good book, + this in the background

Now, I haven't listened to the whole thing, but I know Electrosoul & Dissident are heavy hitters from my days of listening to lots of Hospital Records. This is def worth checking out
Dub Phizix has been a staple in my dnb lib since early days!
-
Some liquid softness too
-
I listened to the first track of this album blind, I'd queued a whole bunch of stuff And I remember feeling "yoo, fans of Skee Mask would love these drums" Only to see his name in the credits
Anyway, this album is literally banger after banger
Text Chunk recently had me dancing a lot via the album with Hood Joplin. Been jamming this one for like a year now. Solid vibes too
We shall close it off with some Al Wotton, who I found via Livity

This playlist started as a narrow focus of Mount Kimbie + King Krule collaborations I fw. quickly grew to group adjacent tracks.
I like the naming of these tracks. First one is the long, uncut, indefinite loop version Second one is the cut version. Same name as before, plus the keyboard shortcut for cutting selected text (⌘X) Cool little detail.
-
somehow, this track feels like an ambient Skee Mask tune. I'll definitely spin it in the ambient exclusives mix from Skee Mask. no one will notice, lol
This playlist might be the beginning of a mix series. slices of hip hop I like.
What will happen to goosebumps when spotify starts charging for access to its API? Been thinking about platform risk today.

I used to think of music as a product of one's creativity. Now I think of it as a byproduct of one's life. - Spirituals
Weekend crates
- goosebumps mix #47 tracklist is up. Some very nice releases in there. Electro, Detroit Techno, Acid, all round good vibes. Big shouts to Svenio for sharing these! So far, I've listened to Relpek by Infiltrate & Habibi Bass by Cyan85 vs Turk Turkelton
- dgoHn is releasing an EP soon. Naturally I listened to the one song that
s out, and also checked out the album Undesignated Proximate by dgoHn
- Skee Mask is the one who brought dgoHn to my attention with this remix.
- Barker’s Unfixed is out! This dude is one of my favourite percussionists and all-round producers. This release is no exception, stellar work as always. Gave me a fun start to the day yesterday. Golden Hammer is my stuff!
- Popottam by Calabasa - fun dance (house) tune
- I listened to Kompakt's Pop Ambient 2001 and enjoyed the bulk of it.
been a wile since I sat down with the sole intention of listening to music. happy to have made time for it these last few days
Lovely mix that was shared in the hypnus discord server. Great start to the day, definitely going to dig more into Sebastian's music
the most reliable source of high quality music has been friends, I'm almost entirely out of the world of algorithm recommendations. Even release radar is not as high a priority anymore.
The same can be said about old music 😄
Love Synkro, such a soothing sound, this track.

Timeless record.
to this day I continue to be amazed by the quality, depth, diversity and all the other good words associated with music from the 90s. halfway through this album and it’s been such a treat, especially for the clicks & cuts or minimal techno fans.

This was a really good amient playlist. thoroughly enjoyed it, love most of the tracks in here. Obv biased because I'm a huge fan of Rival Console, lol.
9.5 hours of Mac. put this on shuffle and go enjoy your sunday😛
The core of my music taste hasn’t changed much over the years
I’m just finding more and more of what I like. I know instantly when I hear a ‘new sound’ that I connect deeply with.
these sounds stay with me for years after being discovered.

Makings of a classic, this tune.
The resemblance is uncanny
and I love it!
You gotta listen to this mix
note to self
lovely dubs here. opening track made me pull a serious bass face🫡
Music for programming Episode 67 by Datassette is the perfect start to a frosty Sunday morning.
Soothing and cosy sounds in this one.
I promise this wasn't planned
Some downtempo essentials, these. I've played these in quite a number of sets over the years

Ambient !== drum-less!
Something I've recently had to remind myself of. I was beginning to associate ambient music with drum-less drones & rhythms, but that's not the case.
-
Fun fact: the first goosebumps mix was liquid dnb. over 5 years ago!
Listening to gb27 - minimal dnb mix as I go about my morning, still love the sounds in there!
Ambient clicks & cuts, who'd have thought. lovely surprise delivered by shuffle.
-
Followed up by a lovely Monolake track
-
Shuffle is winning today!
Straight techno with a little bit of acid sprinkled on top. 13 minutes of bliss!

One of the more interesting additions to the liquid dnb playlist. I found Lord Folter through his hip hop tracks.
-
Solid candidate for FlyloFmExtended. Interlude energy, somewhat dreamy feel to it. Also seen in my alternative hip hop playlist.

Fun fact: Ronny is a major contributor to my typography efforts so far, on this site. Can also say the same about my personal site.
Check out his sites, and you'll see why I'm a big fan of his typography.
This track would make a cool intro to a mix.

Flylo brought together so many cultures in his GTA V radio. I really like that about the radio.
The further I've gone down rabbit-holes of music I like, the more I've found myself coming back to music he introduced me to all those years ago. Respect.
Minimal dnb with a crunchy percussion & arps in the background

1 half of Kiasmos. It's been fun diving into this dude's music.
Scale your efforts as a music curator. In practice, that means listening to other curator's playlists.
You can't listen to all the music by yourself, and a lot of the time, when exploring a new sound, it is very likely that someone else can deliver a much tidier 'best of' than you could by yourself.
I've found music that I've adored for years, from other curators, and continue to find lots of dope shit that way.
Written whilst listening to a playlist by Adrian :)
Really digging the new sounds from Patricia!
Some really good techno in here
WorldwideFM shows
- BLUEISH
- HIGH TEA WITH GREENTEA PENG. this one already kind of in progress
- WORLD OF ECHOES: FRANCOIS K

Seeing if this works
confirmed, it indeed does work
just found this cool little site - best seen on desktop

I've said it time & time again, I love me some good drums. This track is a solid example of Barcode’s drums
Deep, but percussive & warm too. Amazing to be able to balance sound like that. It’s sonically pleasing

Would definitely recommend a full exploration of this dude's discography, I've thoroughly enjoyed his music over the years :)
One of my favourite deepchord songs. Love the quiet drowned out melody in this one

I had this on repeat for a few weeks.

It’s been fun to experiment with ‘interlude’ tracks when doing DJ sets They make for a very good energy reset. A palette cleanser
Goosebumps mixes have evolved to a full spectrum experience I’m not genre or tempo locked anymore. I’ll share whatever I feel you might enjoy, :)
DJing (in the bedroom/studio) is a fun way to have 1 man parties
My week in music
When I felt like a particular week had a story worth telling, I'd carry on with the weekly playlist format. These even powered a few mixes along the way, and were always a low effort playlist to enjoy on shuffle, when I feel like hearing recent favourites.
i’m listening to this track in the car. now, this radio is connected to bluetooth via modulator, and this particular modulator gives this particular shower sound, and it’s loudness is directly proportional to the radio’s volume level. basically, the higher your volume knob is, the louder that shower sound is.
now, in this moment, it’s a cold morning, but i have the windows down, and heater cranked on almost to the max, so you can hear it consistently working that heat into the sound. this is source two of background noises.
the sound/timbre of the heater is being modulated by the sound from this track. mind bending experience, very lovely feeling, totally unique listening experience.
